Jacewicz Consulting, LLC was established in 2007 by Dr. J Z Jacewicz, whose professional carrier has been entirely related to the sealing technology.
Selected highlights of Dr. Jacewicz's career:
- Held various technical positions, being always directly involved in and responsible for the engineering design and testing, first at INCO, Ltd (then a leading seal manufacturer in Poland), and between 1989 and 2007 at Trostel, Ltd (internationally recognized designer and manufacturer of custom seals, rubber molded products and custom mixed compounds), headquartered in Lake Geneva, WI
- Performed hundreds of engineering designs including a broad range of elastomeric seals, face seals, products with rubber, metal/plastic components and test stands for the appliance, automotive and industrial applications (many of sealing products implemented into high volume production, exceeding 5+ million per year)
- Earned a Doctor of Science degree (1986).
Dissertation title: "The sealing mechanism of seals working at high pressure in hydraulic cylinders"
- Two patents in seal technology
- Received several awards, e.g. by Whirlpool Corp. (1995, 2000) for sealing system enhancements in washing machine applications
- Presented at professional meetings and published in the area of seals and sealing materials
- Professional memberships: ASME, STLE and ASTM
